Business Guide-Sha Inc. (BGS) may request submission
of corporate etc. or personal information from customers when they purchase
goods or register for services from BGS. So that customers can use this
company’s services with confidence, BGS will observe privacy protection-related
laws and will make the maximum efforts to protect customers` privacy.
For that purpose, we will continue to work for improvement of our information-security
technology and the strengthening of our information-management system. |
BGS may from time to time request and use corporate
etc. or personal information, whether it be from customers at corporations,
groups, other places of business or from individual customers using our
services. For the purpose of dispatch of goods or tendering, checking
and invoicing in connection with its services, BGS may request of customers
their names, postal codes and addresses, telephone numbers, e-mail addresses
or their account numbers with financial institutions etc.. Furthermore, for the purpose of improvement of goods or services or dispatch of information which concerns all customers, BGS may request information on customer age, sex, nature of business, on customers` places of business or on what kind of information customers are interested in. However, in all cases it is made clear that corporate etc. or personal information is required, and this information is requested on the understanding that customers provide it of their own free will. In connection with gathering corporate etc. or personal information, an access log is maintained in this company’s web server to record details of access to the company site. Additionally, in the future, other special Internet technology may be used. |
BGS will use corporate etc. or personal information
for the following purposes. ① For confirming customer purchase of magazines and other publications and for delivering them ② For delivering information to customers concerning further subscription to periodicals customers already subscribe to ③ For checking customer applications to participate in trade fairs and seminars organised by this company, and for sending letters of invitation thereto ④ For publishing as survey results in a variety of reports information derived through statistical processing of corporate etc. or personal information (information requested is treated solely as statistical data and in general persons` names etc. are not published) ⑤ For invoicing and receiving payment from customers for various goods or in connection with trade fairs etc., and for checking thereof. ⑥For sending information such as campaigns etc. by post, facsimile or e-mail, and for advertising and promotions introducing special services, new goods, new services etc. Since however these are advised of and introduced with customers` prior agreement, they may be cancelled at any time by the recipient company or other customer’s request. ⑦ For forming a picture of customer use of BGS’s services etc., for improving services and developing new services, and for sales promotion. |
In order to avoid loss, misuse or alteration of corporate
etc. or personal information under its management, BGS operates strict security
measures. Use
of corporate etc. or personal information is restricted to employees to whom
it is necessary for reasons of their work, and the information is stored in
a secure environment which other users cannot access. Furthermore corporate
etc. or personal information registered with this company will not be disclosed
to third parties unless the customer’s consent has been obtained.
However, BGS may from time to time as part of its work and if it deems the recipient sufficiently trustworthy, commission handling of corporate etc. or personal information from enterprises which have entered into a duty of confidentiality agreement. Further, in the case that customers have requested BGS to obtain information from, make enquiries concerning goods with, effect contacts or mediate with other enterprises or groups, BGS this company may disclose or tender corporate etc. or personal information to such enterprises or groups, but in this case also, customers` corporate etc. or personal information will be protected under protection of corporate etc. or personal information principles. |
In the case that BGS receives an application for disclosure,
revision, supplementation or cancellation of information registered with
us from a customer, such request
will be promptly complied with. Customers` corporate etc. or personal information
will be maintained in as accurate and moreover up-to-date a state as possible.
