Let’s introduce the scene at the 2nd Gourmet & Dining Style Show AUTUMN 2007, held from the 10th to the 12th of October 2007 at Tokyo Big Sight. The theme of the 2nd GDS is “Realization of Nutritional Education and Presentation of a Pleasant Dining Ambience.” ORGANIZER: BUSINESS GUIDE-SHA, INC.

The “Gourmet & Dining Style Show,” or GDS, is a food-specialty trade fair which creates a new lifestyle and food culture.

2	Theme of the 2nd GDS ～ Highlights

The GDS is held for the second time at Tokyo Big Sight. The theme of the second GDS is “Realization of Nutritional Education and Presentation of a Pleasant Dining Ambience.”

3	The effect of exhibiting at the GDS

The GDS is a “closed-type” trade show open only to professional buyers. Throughout the venue, there are always enthusiastic business negotiations taking place.

4	Japanese Food Style ～ World Food Style

“Japanese food” is receiving attention the world over. Japanese cuisine has a range and depth that is ever expanding. Plus “Japanese food” remaining traditional but adapted for the present, makes its appearance.

5	Organic Foods ～ Kitchen Goods

All kinds of healthy, safety-conscious foods, including organic and natural foods, are on display. At the GDS, the dining-table is our focus. A wide array of products for the dining-table, are on display here.

6	Rediscovery of Japanese Goods!! Corner

We have a large collection of select items from all over Japan, featuring products developed by the “Local Resources, National Roll-out Project,” to which 136 localities are contributing.

7	Theme Event ～ National Sake Brewery of Japan Corner ～ Visitors Interview

A vast collection of celebrated sakes indispensable to Japan’s food culture from every part of Japan. Almost all the sakes can be tasted.

8	Professionals’ Kitchen Stage ～ Seminars ～ Contest ～ Reception Party

At the GDS, not only can you talk concrete business, you can also gather information on food-related trends. That’s what this “Professionals’ Kitchen Stage” is all about. For those who want to be involved themselves in the development of food culture, we recommend the Contest Corner.

9	Announcement of the 3rd GDS ～ Theme & Highlights of the next GDS ～ Interview with the GDS Show Director ～

The GDS promotes food showing each producer’s unique flavor and also spreads knowledge about food and fusions of food and lifestyle sundries. We bring together all food-related businesses in one place, and additionally, propose lifestyle solutions.

At the contest a judgment will be made by visitors’ votes and a panel of experts. Please watch the scene at the Reception Party where the contest results were announced.
